Thanks to a goodlookin' crew on Saturday we were able to hit the road a couple hours earlier than expected. Which was awesome due to the snow that was headed for WI, IA, and MO. We got out just in time! When stopping for the night in Des Moines we were accompanied by at least 6 inches of snow! This is where things got "fun and eventful". By Sunday morning there was a good 7 to 8 inches of snow on the ground and little had been done to clear the streets. After getting my car stuck in the parking lot we decided to leave it there and all travel the rest of the way together in the jeep. Which I was SUPER relieved by as driving the night before was stressful! So thankful for my dad who drove us the rest of the way on Sunday! By the time we made it to my sister's house in MO the trailer was covered in ice. It looked kind of cool actually. Even though the travel from WI to MO was stressful at times, it proved to make good memories for my dad, sister, and myself.
Now next 6 weeks will include time to rest a little, help care for my mom who had ankle replacement surgery Monday, work on support, share The LORD's heart for compassionate ministries, and catch up with home churches, friends and family!
Prayer Requests: continued healing for my mother, my transition, and that The LORD would continue to provide prayer and financial supporters
Praises: The LORD is continuing to provide random jobs to help with expenses and I was able to reconnect with friends unexpectedly at the hospital this week as we all had family members there recovering for surgery. If you know KU Medical Center it is kinda crazy we ran into each other as that place is huge!
I-80 provided a place to walk around after hrs. in the car
